Thunder

Hi- my real name is Jeff Reigel but everyone calls me J.R. Thunder cuz of how hard I hit the skins.

Been playing drums since the age of 10. I’ve played in several rock bands through the years, Babalon, Kid Liar, Strutter, Point Blank, and Jezebel Sons.

I always loved country music all my life but it was hard to put a country band together in this area cuz everybody wanted to be a rock and roll star. Ha, Ha, Ha. Really, it was just hard to find other musicians who like almost every kind of music, love having fun, and playing music live for all of you.

So come out and give are hard hitting country act, Black Mountain Jack a chance.

Don Meas

Don Meas

Don is one of the bands lead vocalists and guitar players. He joined the band five years ago when JR Thunder and Mick Edinger first decided to leave the rock scene and start a country band.

Jr Thunder’s cousin, who Don rides motorcycle with, introduced him to them. He can be found riding his 75’ Shovelhead Harley when not playing with the band. Don’s an avid turkey hunter and prefers hunting with custom-built flintlock rifles. He has played with a bluegrass band for a few years and performed as a solo act for a bunch a years playing in local bars, clubs, and coffeehouses. Don prefers the older style of country music but enjoys performing the newer country as well as southern rock and blues. His influences are Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Jr. And Sr., David Allen Coe, Alan Jackson, Clapton, Skynard and many others. He likes to keep a low profile, not much of a talker on stage, but will play and sing for you all night long. Don has always been fortunate to play with some really good musicians over the years and hopes to continue performing for many years to come.

Bradon Barnhart

Brandon Barnhart

Brandon started playing the piano at the age of six, and took nine years of intensive study in classical and honkytonk styles. When not playing his keyboard, he can be seen trolling the dance floor with his guitar in hand, getting the best of both worlds- playing in the band and getting to dance too! Brandon’s past includes Jezebel Sons, The Experiment, River City Band, 2Timerz, and lots of solo work.

Mick Edinger, bass player

Mick Edinger

Mick is an extremely seasoned bass player and singer hailing from Sunbury, PA.

He has played in many country and rock bands such as Southern Comfort, Cedar Creek, Mutiny, China White and Jezebel Sons, as well as performing with his fellow band mate Don Meas as a duo. His hard-driving bass lines lay down a solid foundation for Black Mountain Jack.
